The role:
- Being a visible and approachable presence around the school, supporting students throughout the school day
- Building positive relationships with students to encourage engagement, attendance and positive behaviour
- Supporting students who need additional pastoral or behavioural support, both in and out of lessons
- Working closely with teaching staff, parents and external agencies to promote positive outcomes for students
- Managing behaviour confidently, calmly and consistently in line with the school's policies
- Supporting students with emotional wellbeing and helping them overcome barriers to learning
- Contributing to a safe, inclusive and positive school environment
What we’re looking for:
- Experience working with young people in education, youth work, coaching, care or similar settings
- Strong behaviour management skills and the confidence to de-escalate challenging situations
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A calm, resilient and proactive approach to supporting young people
- A genuine passion for improving outcomes for students
