The Role
As a Music Teacher, you'll deliver engaging and inspiring lessons that develop students' musical skills, creativity and confidence, while encouraging a lifelong appreciation of music. Key responsibilities include:
- Teaching Music across KS3 and KS4
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons that inspire creativity and participation
- Assessing, monitoring and supporting student progress
- Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Encouraging students to develop their performance, composition and listening skills
- Supporting school performances, concerts and extracurricular music activities where appropriate
- Maintaining high expectations for behaviour and achievement
- Upholding safeguarding procedures and school expectations at all times
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- UK QTS or be currently completing teacher training
- Strong subject knowledge in Music
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- A professional, proactive and flexible approach
