Be the calm in the classroom. The steady hand. The one who makes school feel like a good place to be.

We’re on the lookout for kind, committed Behaviour & Inclusion Support staff to join a specialist setting in Bradford that goes above and beyond for students who can’t attend mainstream schools. These young people might be facing exclusions, long-term illness, or other barriers to learning—but here, they’re met with compassion, structure, and opportunity.

Your role?

  • Support KS3 and KS4 pupils who are new to the school and adjusting to a different kind of education away from the mainstream.
  • Provide 1:1 support or work in small groups—whatever helps that young person feel seen, heard, and supported.
  • Navigate complex needs (like communication differences, autistic traits, and learning challenges) with empathy and clarity.
  • Help manage behaviours calmly and confidently, showing students they can trust and rely on you.

This role is ideal if you:

  • Stay cool in a crisis and know how to read the room.
  • Understand that every behaviour tells a story.
  • Want to make a real difference to young people who need a second (or third) chance.

What you’ll need to join us:

  • A DBS on the update service (or be happy to get one through us).
  • Two professional references from the last three years.
  • A big heart, strong boundaries, and a commitment to safeguarding.

Why Protocol Education?

  • Weekly PAYE pay—No umbrella Company hidden deductions, extra paperwork.
  • Access to FREE CPD and support from experienced consultants who actually listen and have been there in the classroom!
  • Opportunities in settings where you’re not “just” a TA—you’re essential.

This isn’t just a job. It’s a chance to be the person a young learner remembers for all the right reasons.
