We’re looking for a Behaviour Support Assistant to join a caring primary school in Bradford. This is a hands-on role supporting children who need a little extra help managing emotions, behaviour, and routines throughout the school day.
It’s a brilliant opportunity for someone with experience supporting young people — whether that’s in schools, youth work, or care — who’s looking to build their skills in a rewarding education setting.
What you’ll be doing:
Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups to regulate emotions and stay engaged in learning
Building positive, trusting relationships that help children feel safe and understood
Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff to create consistent support plans
Helping pupils develop resilience, communication, and confidence
What we’re looking for:
Experience supporting children or young people with social, emotional, or behavioural needs
A calm, positive, and consistent approach
A genuine passion for helping children succeed, however big or small the steps
Thrive training or trauma-informed experience would be a real bonus (and if you’re not Thrive-trained yet, we’ll help you get there for free!)
