We’re looking for a Behaviour Support Assistant to join a caring primary school in Bradford. This is a hands-on role supporting children who need a little extra help managing emotions, behaviour, and routines throughout the school day.

It’s a brilliant opportunity for someone with experience supporting young people — whether that’s in schools, youth work, or care — who’s looking to build their skills in a rewarding education setting.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups to regulate emotions and stay engaged in learning

  • Building positive, trusting relationships that help children feel safe and understood

  • Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff to create consistent support plans

  • Helping pupils develop resilience, communication, and confidence

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience supporting children or young people with social, emotional, or behavioural needs

  • A calm, positive, and consistent approach

  • A genuine passion for helping children succeed, however big or small the steps

  • Thrive training or trauma-informed experience would be a real bonus (and if you’re not Thrive-trained yet, we’ll help you get there for free!)
