Location: Northumberland
Job Type: Full-time
Start: November

Looking for a role where your calm, steady presence can make a genuine difference? This could be it.

We’re working with specialist settings and inclusive schools across Northumberland who are seeking Behaviour Support Assistants to support pupils with additional needs—particularly those with autism, ADHD, or Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges.

These are pupils with huge potential—some just need the right support to help them engage, regulate, and thrive.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting individual pupils or small groups with emotional regulation and positive behaviour
  • Collaborating closely with SENCOs and other staff to implement tailored strategies
  • Creating calm, structured spaces where pupils feel safe, valued, and ready to learn
  • Encouraging social skills, resilience, and consistent routines

What we’re looking for:

  • A calm, nurturing presence, especially during moments of dysregulation
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Experience in SEN, youth work, care, or education—or a natural ability to support others
  • Flexibility, patience, and a team-first approach

What you’ll get from us:

  • Weekly pay through PAYE—no umbrella company
  • Access to CPD including Behaviour Management, Safeguarding, and Autism Awareness
  • A dedicated SEND consultant who knows your local area
  • Opportunities for long-term roles and ongoing career support

If you’re ready to support pupils who need someone steady, consistent, and kind in their corner, we’d love to speak with you.
