We’re working with a fantastic specialist school in Basildon looking for a caring, proactive and committed Learning Support Assistant to join their team.
About the School
This specialist provision supports pupils with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) and focuses on nurturing every child’s academic progress, independence and confidence in a supportive, structured environment.
The Role
You will work full-time within the school/college provision, supporting students with complex needs either 1:1 or in small groups. Your day-to-day will include:
- Supporting learning, communication and emotional development
- Encouraging engagement, independence and social interaction
- Assisting the class teacher and wider staff team
- Building positive relationships with pupils and becoming a trusted adult
- Working closely with families and carers to ensure consistent support
You’ll also gain valuable experience and develop your skills within SEND education.

- Full-time Temp-to-perm opportunity
- Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm
- Location: Basildon
