Learning Support Assistant with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?
We are recruiting for a welcoming and supportive primary school in Basildon seeking a dedicated LSA to join their team on a full-time basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of pupils who require additional support to reach their full potential.
The Role
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN.
- Assist children with their learning, social development, and emotional wellbeing.
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual learning plans.
- Support pupils both inside and outside the classroom environment.
- Encourage independence, confidence, and positive engagement in learning.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children with SEN within a school setting.
- Understanding of a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties.
- A patient, caring, and proactive approach.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
