Are you an experienced and compassionate Learning Support Assistant looking to make a real difference in a child's educational journey? Protocol Education is recruiting for a full-time 1:1 SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a thriving mainstream primary school in Basildon from September. This rewarding role involves supporting a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), helping them access learning, build confidence, and achieve their full potential within the classroom environment. This position is subject to a successful interview and trial within the school, with the potential to become a permanent role for the right candidate.

The Role

  • Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with ASD
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement support strategies
  • Encourage engagement, independence, and positive learning behaviours
  • Help create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment
  • Foster positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
