The Role

As a PE Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and inclusive PE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Promote participation, teamwork, resilience and healthy lifestyles.
  • Plan and deliver high-quality practical and theoretical lessons.
  • Encourage students of all abilities to achieve their personal best.
  • Create a positive and supportive learning environment.
  • Monitor, assess and track student progress effectively.
  • Support extracurricular sports clubs, competitions and enrichment opportunities where appropriate.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school community.

We're Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in Physical Education, Sports Science or a related subject.
  • Experience teaching PE within a secondary school setting.
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • The ability to motivate and inspire young people.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A commitment to promoting participation and achievement.
  • High expectations of student behaviour and engagement.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
