Protocol Education is working in partnership with a range of welcoming secondary schools across Middlesbrough to recruit a creative and passionate Art Teacher. This opportunity is ideal for QTS-qualified teachers, ECTs, and experienced cover supervisors or teaching assistants with strong Art subject knowledge.
The Role
- Deliver engaging and inspiring Art lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Support students in developing creative techniques, visual literacy, and artistic confidence
- Plan and deliver lessons across a range of media and processes (e.g. drawing, painting, sculpture, mixed media)
- Provide effective classroom cover when required
- Differentiating learning to meet the needs of all students
- Maintain positive behaviour management and a safe, inclusive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds QTS or has relevant classroom experience teaching Art
- Is confident teaching Art at KS3–KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)
- Has strong subject knowledge and a passion for creative education
- Is reliable, adaptable, and proactive
- Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or is willing to apply)
