Protocol Education are recruiting an Active Teaching Assistant to support young people with SEMH and behavioural needs in a specialist South Shields setting.
This role would suit someone who is energetic, confident and able to bring enthusiasm into the school day.
What You'll Do
- Support pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs.
- Build positive relationships through sport and shared interests.
- Encourage physical activity throughout the school day.
- Support pupils in lessons.
- Assist with PE and extracurricular activities.
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support.
- Encourage positive behaviour.
- Help pupils develop emotional regulation strategies.
- Act as a positive role model.
- Support pupils during break and lunchtime.
- Encourage teamwork, communication and resilience.
The Person We're Looking For

- A sports graduate.
- A football coach.
- A PE assistant.
- A youth worker.
- A fitness instructor.
- A sports professional.
- An experienced TA with a passion for sport.
You will need to be:

Driving is a bonus , especially for candidates who can travel easily to different schools/settings.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
