Protocol Education is recruiting a trainee teaching assistant who is passionate about building positive relationships with children and supporting them in achieving their best. The candidate will work alongside the class teacher to provide 1:1 support to a child with additional needs.

Working days: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm.

Responsibilities:

  • Be positive and self‑motivated.
  • Have a calm and reassuring nature.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff.
  • Show willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Ensure the pupil can fully participate in class activities and make progress.
  • Develop knowledge of the child’s particular needs and seek advice from the SENCo, class teacher and relevant external agencies.
  • Provide positive reinforcement and support teamwork.

Experience: Desirable but not essential; we welcome candidates with a range of backgrounds.
