Protocol Education is recruiting a Catering Assistant to join a busy and welcoming primary school in Sunderland. Situated within a well-established residential community, the school is easily accessible from Sunderland city centre, Washington, Seaham and surrounding areas.
This role would suit candidates with catering, hospitality, food service or retail experience who enjoy working as part of a team and supporting children during their school day.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with food preparation
- Serving meals and refreshments
- Preparing dining areas before service
- Cleaning kitchen and dining facilities
- Following food hygiene and health and safety procedures
- Supporting the smooth running of lunchtime services
- Working closely with kitchen staff to provide an excellent dining experience
The Successful Candidate Will
- Have a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Enjoy working in a team environment
- Be reliable and punctual
- Have excellent hygiene standards
- Be comfortable working around children
- Previous catering experience is desirable but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
