Behaviour Support Assistant - Sunderland
Location: Sunderland
Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am - 3:30pm
Contract: Full-Time
We are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to join a supportive school environment in Sunderland.
The successful candidate will work with students who require additional support to overcome barriers to learning, helping them build confidence, resilience, and positive relationships.
Duties Include
- Supporting students on a 1:1 and small-group basis
- Delivering mentoring and intervention sessions
- Encouraging positive behaviour and attendance
- Supporting students during lessons and social times
- Assisting with behaviour management plans
- Working collaboratively with teaching and pastoral staff
Requirements
- Patient and supportive attitude
- Strong interpersonal skills
- A genuine passion for supporting young people
- Experience working with challenging behaviour is beneficial
- Drivers are highly desirable due to the location and potential outreach activities

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
