Due to an increase in SEN needs across our mainstream schools in Barking & Dagenham, we are currently recruiting for experienced and committed SEN Teaching Assistants to join our team on a full-time basis.

The successful candidates will have previous experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs and will be confident working with pupils on a 1:1 or small-group basis.

You will play an important role in supporting pupils both academically and pastorally, working alongside class teachers and SENCOs to ensure children receive the individual support they need to thrive within the classroom.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN is essential.
  • Experience providing 1:1 or small-group support is highly desirable.
  • An understanding of a range of SEN needs and the ability to adapt support to suit individual pupils.
  • A patient, supportive and nurturing approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Must be available to work full-time, Monday to Friday.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children and helping them achieve their potential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
