Position: Trainee Teaching Assistant

Are you looking to start a rewarding career in education? We are currently recruiting for a Trainee Teaching Assistant to support students within a welcoming and supportive school setting in the Peterlee area.
This opportunity is ideal for individuals with transferable skills from customer service, care, youth work, coaching, or support work backgrounds who are passionate about helping young people succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting students in lessons and around the school
- Assisting with classroom activities and behaviour management
- Encouraging student engagement and participation
- Building positive relationships with learners
- Supporting literacy and numeracy development
- Working closely with teachers and pastoral staff

- A positive and enthusiastic attitude
- Excellent communication skills
- Confidence working with young people
- Reliability and willingness to learn
- A genuine interest in education
Full training and ongoing support will be provided.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
