The Role
As a Criminology Graduate, you may work as a:
- Behaviour Support Assistant
- Learning Mentor
- Pastoral Support Assistant
- SEMH Support Assistant
- SEND Teaching Assistant
- Inclusion Support Assistant
- Student Intervention Mentor
You’ll gain invaluable experience by:
- Supporting students on a one‑to‑one and small‑group basis.
- Helping young people regulate emotions and make positive choices.
- Working with students with SEMH needs, Autism (ASC), ADHD and additional learning needs.
- Supporting behaviour management using positive and restorative approaches.
- Building trusting relationships that encourage confidence, resilience and engagement.
- Working alongside teachers, safeguarding teams and pastoral professionals.
- Supporting students to overcome barriers to learning.
- Promoting positive attitudes towards education and personal development.
