Protocol Education is recruiting a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant for a specialist provision in Gateshead. This rewarding role is perfect for someone who thrives on supporting pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs and wants to make a lasting impact.
You'll Be:
- Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Helping students regulate emotions and manage behaviour
- Delivering targeted academic and social interventions
- Encouraging positive engagement and participation
- Building trusted relationships with young people

- Have SEMH or behaviour support experience
- Can confidently manage challenging situations
- Are resilient, patient and adaptable
- Have excellent communication skills
- Are committed to helping every pupil succeed

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
