An excellent opportunity has arisen for a committed Teaching Assistant to join a well-established Primary SEND school in Gateshead.
The Role
The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff to support pupils with a range of special educational needs and disabilities, ensuring they can access learning opportunities and achieve positive outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Providing classroom support across a range of subjects.
- Delivering targeted interventions and individual support.
- Assisting pupils with social, emotional, and communication needs.
- Supporting behaviour management strategies.
- Monitoring pupil progress and engagement.
Requirements
- Experience working with children or vulnerable young people.
- An understanding of SEND practices.
- Strong interpersonal and organisational skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
