A specialist primary school in Gateshead is seeking a resilient and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs.
Duties Include
- Supporting pupils within the classroom and during structured interventions.
- Building positive and trusting relationships.
- Helping pupils manage emotions and behaviours effectively.
- Promoting engagement, attendance, and learning.
- Supporting the delivery of personalised learning plans.
We Are Looking For
- Experience supporting children with behavioural or additional needs.
- Strong behaviour management skills.
- Patience, consistency, and emotional resilience.
- A commitment to supporting vulnerable pupils.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
