Graduate SEND Support Mentor – Gateshead
No extensive SEND experience? That's okay – your attitude matters.
A specialist SEND school in Gateshead is looking for a caring and enthusiastic graduate to join their team as a SEND Learning Mentor.
You’ll be supporting pupils with Autism, ADHD, SEMH and communication needs, helping them access learning, develop confidence and manage the challenges they may face in school.
Location: Gateshead
Pay: £92.63–£105 per day
Contract: Full-time, Long-Term
What you’ll be doing
- Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis
- Assisting with classroom activities
- Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour
- Helping deliver interventions
- Encouraging communication and independence
- Building positive relationships with pupils
- Working alongside teachers and experienced SEND staff

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
