We are working with a fantastic SEND school in Gateshead that is seeking a passionate and committed BSL Teaching Assistant to support students with hearing impairments and additional learning needs.
Key Duties
- Provide communication support using BSL
- Support learning on a 1:1 and group basis
- Help pupils develop confidence and independence
- Work alongside teachers and SEND specialists
- Promote an inclusive and supportive school environment
What We're Looking For
- BSL qualification or equivalent experience
- Experience supporting children, young people or vulnerable individuals
- Positive and nurturing approach
- Excellent communication skills
- Commitment to pupil progress and wellbeing

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
