Protocol Education is currently recruiting for a compassionate and dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a child at a welcoming primary school in Barnard Castle.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference to a young child's educational journey, providing tailored support to help them access learning, build confidence, and develop socially within the classroom environment.
The Role
- Providing dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil
- Supporting learning, communication, and engagement in classroom activities
- Encouraging positive behaviour and social interaction
- Working closely with the class teacher and wider school staff
- Helping to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience working with children in a school, nursery, childcare, or similar setting
- A patient, caring, and enthusiastic approach
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
