Where We Need You: Protiviti UK’s Technology Risk & Resilience practice is a part of our overall Technology Consulting Division. The practice includes coverage of focused disciplines such as information and technology risk management, third party risk, technology risk governance, operational and technology resilience and cyber security risk management. You will be part of the Technology Consulting solution that provides innovative solutions to complex technology challenges. You will work closely with clients to understand their business needs, design and implement technology strategies, and ensure successful project delivery. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, utilising cutting-edge technologies, and contributing to the growth of the Technology Consulting practice. What You Can Expect: The Associate Director role plays a key role in the continual development of our existing relationships with clients and in developing new accounts to expand the technology risk and resilience practice. Associate Directors are expected to demonstrate a strong understanding of the technology risk and resilience domains and maintain and develop business relationships to expand the client portfolio, including a formal sales target. Associate Directors are responsible for the success of all client-related work within their portfolio and manage the success of these engagements.
Key Responsibilities- Responsible for identifying growth opportunities and driving business growth for engagements across the focus areas in technology risk and resilience.
- Leading business development activities such as identifying, building and actively managing business relationships.
- Working closely with our business development team in a technical capacity to develop proposals and respond to client requirements.
- Assume the lead role in the execution of our most complex technology risk and resilience engagements.
- Managing individuals within the delivery team – both Protiviti and client resources – to ensure the successful delivery of our engagements.
- Working closely with the client teams to ensure that their needs are understood, and their stated requirements are met through the delivery of the engagement.
- Contributing to the internal fabric of Protiviti by ensuring that thought leadership, best practices and other security materials are developed; understanding global/regional initiatives being driven by other Protiviti offices; and developing relevant use cases and sales propositions that can be used to help other clients.
- Significant experience in a consulting environment with a specific focus on Technology related risks.

- Demonstrable experience working within financial services (whilst not exclusively FS focused, a significant proportion of the work is within the FS sector).
- Prior leadership experience in execution on client engagements and relationships with senior client personnel.
- Prior experience of developing relationships within the business community, recognised for their areas of expertise.
- Self-starter and can operate independently as needed.
- Prior business development experience – can build and maintain a portfolio of clients with experience in creation and contribution towards proposals and bid materials to win new work, including new clients.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, manage and develop teams and deliver technology risk and resilience engagements to a range of clients across various sectors.
- Experience in delivering talks, presentations and industry briefings.
- Excellent persuasion, presentation and report-writing skills.
- Ability to identify potential sales opportunities with existing clients, including outside of your domain area.
- Demonstrate ability to add valuable and creative suggestions to the proposal development process.
- Ability to recognise risk to Protiviti with potential clients and advise appropriately.
- Demonstrate the ability to discuss technical and industry trends and the related Protiviti solutions.
- Contribute to employee development by actively mentoring employees, creating development opportunities and initiating and conducting training.
- Effectively plan, budgets and manage client engagements including engagement economics (e.g., WIP, receivables, pricing, margins etc) to ensure engagement profitability and manage engagement risk.
Our Workplace and Employment Process: Protiviti practices a hybrid working model, which is a combination of working in person with purpose and working remotely and is primarily dependent upon the needs of our client. The ratio of remote to in-person requirements varies by client, project, team, and other business factors. It can sometimes mean more of a full-time presence at our client. This model creates meaningful experiences for our people and our clients while offering a flexible environment. Our people work both in-person in local Protiviti offices and on client sites, which can include local, or UK wide travel based on our projects and client requests and commitments.
Remuneration and Benefits: Starting salaries are competitive and are based on a full-time equivalent schedule. Placement in the salary range is dependent upon experience, skills and geographic work location. Employees are eligible for medical and dental insurance cover, life assurance, pension scheme and receive up to 25 days holiday per calendar year. Protiviti also recognises up to 10 paid holidays each calendar year and we have additional benefits as part of the Robert Half Enterprise.
