The role:
Proteintech is experiencing rapid growth in Europe and is now recruiting for a field-based Account Manager in London, UK.
You will report directly to the Commercial Director as part of an excellent team; you will have real responsibility and gain exposure to multiple facets of the business.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers to grow long-term and effective business relationships.
- Pro-actively search and connect with new prospects.
- Provide feedback to Marketing and Product development on customer and competitor activities.
- Actively liaise with institution procurement departments to facilitate ease of purchase.
- Responsible for meeting and exceeding annual revenue targets.
- Report on sales and business development targets.
Requirements:
- This role is suitable for a candidate who has recently completed a life sciences PhD or has 1-2 years’ experience in biotech sales.
- Hands on experience of antibody-related techniques is preferable.
- Independent, driven and able to work on own initiative.
- High level of professional communication skills and the confidence to interact with scientists at all levels.
- Prepared to travel extensively up to 80% of time (predominantly within territory).
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
