Join Protein Works as our first Performance Creative Strategist, a role built for someone who thrives at the intersection of data, creativity, and growth. You’ll be instrumental in shaping the performance creative strategy of our paid campaigns across Meta, Google, TikTok, and Amazon, driving performance through scroll-stopping ideas rooted in insight and strategy.

This is a hands-on and strategic role, perfect for someone who understands what makes customers click, convert, and come back. You\’ll take the lead in developing and scaling high-performing creative concepts across our DTC channels in the UK and EU—partnering closely with designers, editors, and media buyers to turn ideas into revenue-generating assets.

About The Role As our Performance Creative Strategist, you’ll be the creative engine behind our paid media success. Sitting between growth and creative, you’ll own the process of turning performance insights into engaging ads that convert across Meta (FB/IG), Google (YouTube, Display, Search), TikTok, Programmatic Display (Criteo and StackAdapt) and Amazon Sponsored Ads.

You’ll write smart, performance-informed briefs, partner with creatives to build ad assets, and work closely with our media buyer partners to launch, test, and iterate fast. If you\’re passionate about building brands through creative that sells, this role is for you.

What You’ll Be Doing

Creative Strategy & Briefing

  • Develop performance-focused creative briefs based on campaign objectives, platform best practices, and first-party data.
  • Translate insights from audience data, funnel metrics, and competitor research into actionable creative strategies across paid platforms.
  • Build messaging frameworks, hook ideas, and concept boards that align with business goals.

Creative Development & Collaboration

  • Collaborate with internal and external designers, copywriters, and video editors to bring creative ideas to life.
  • Guide the creation of platform-ready assets across static, UGC, motion graphics, product demos, and branded content.
  • Ensure every asset is optimised for the specific platform, audience, and funnel stage.

Testing, Analysis & Iteration

  • Partner with media buyers to launch and manage creative tests across Meta, Google (YouTube, Display), and Amazon Ads.
  • Monitor performance across key metrics (CTR, CVR, ROAS, CPA) and identify what’s driving growth.
  • Analyse top-performing creatives by format, messaging, and visual style—and feed those learnings back into the creative pipeline.

Growth & Optimisation

  • Build out and continuously refine creative testing roadmaps
  • Drive quarterly creative refreshes and new campaign themes based on seasonal moments, product launches, or channel trends
  • Collaborate with the Amazon team to ensure creative excellence across Sponsored Display, Brand Storefronts, and A+ Content

You’ll excel in this role if you…

Qualifications

  • Have 3-5+ years in a creative strategy, growth marketing, or performance creative role at a DTC or ecommerce brand/agency
  • Are obsessed with what makes people click, stop, and buy—and can turn data into compelling creative decisions.
  • Have experience working directly on Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads, Google Ads (YouTube/Display), and Amazon Advertising platforms.
  • Can confidently brief and collaborate with creative teams (designers, video editors, copywriters).
  • Are comfortable running and interpreting creative tests across channels.
  • Thrive in a fast-moving environment where you can take ownership and iterate quickly.
  • Bonus: experience with motion/video creative, UGC/creator content, or ecommerce nutrition brands.
  • Bonus: experience with OOH/ATL media that compliments performance spend.
