Protein Works is investing in paid performance as a serious growth lever, and this is the role sitting at the centre of it.

As Paid Media Executive, you will drive new customer acquisition across Meta, Tik Tok, and Google Ads with a clear commercial remit: grow efficiently, protect contribution margin, and help build Tik Tok into a material acquisition channel within your first six months.

This is not a role for someone who sets campaigns live and checks back in on Friday.

You will be in the data daily, running a structured testing cadence across creatives, hooks, audiences, and formats, and turning those learnings into repeatable wins.

You will also be the bridge between performance insight and creative output, briefing assets that are grounded in what the numbers actually say, not gut feel.

The opportunity here is real.

Protein Works is a brand with genuine consumer love, strong retention, and a product quality that earns trust.

Paid acquisition is one of the primary engines for growth right now, and this role has visibility and influence from day one.

If you are analytical, commercially minded, and energised by the challenge of scaling spend without letting CAC creep, this is the right environment to do it.

About Protein Works

Founded in 2012 on a clear conviction: the sports nutrition industry had become complacent, and there was a better way to do it.

Over a decade later, we are a £50m business with five consecutive years of double-digit growth, a brand new £10m campus in Liverpool, and ambitions that go well beyond where we are today.

We are a brand, a retailer, a manufacturer and a fulfilment operation.

All in-house, all under one roof.

That breadth is deliberate.

It gives our people exposure and influence that most businesses simply cannot offer, and it gives us a platform to scale in a way that few companies in this space can match.

We are growing, investing and hiring with purpose.

If you want to join a business with the energy of a challenger and the foundations of a market leader, this is the right moment to do it.

  • What you will be doing
  • Driving new customer acquisition across Meta, Tik Tok, and Google Ads within agreed CAC and ROAS targets, measured against contribution margin
  • Managing daily budget pacing and campaign optimisation to maximise both efficiency and volume
  • Running a structured testing cadence across creatives, hooks, formats, and audiences, and documenting learnings that inform future strategy
  • Briefing creative assets rooted in performance data, communicating clearly to the content team what works, what does not, and why
  • Owning weekly performance reporting with clear, proactive commentary on results, trends, and the actions you are taking
  • Monitoring competitor activity and platform developments, particularly on Tik Tok, and bringing relevant insights back to the team
  • Supporting the build of Tik Tok as a scalable acquisition channel from the ground up
  • What success looks like

To thrive in this role, you will bring

  • At least one year of hands-on paid social experience, with Meta Ads as a core channel
  • Demonstrable Tik Tok Ads experience, including campaign management and the ability to talk through results with confidence
  • Confident with performance metrics: CAC, ROAS, CPM, CTR, and contribution margin are part of your everyday language
  • Experience briefing creative assets with an understanding of the link between creative decisions and performance outcomes
  • An analytical mindset; you live in dashboards, know how to interrogate data, and translate it into clear action
  • A DTC or e-commerce background where paid acquisition was central to the commercial model

It would also be great (but not essential) if you bring experience in health, nutrition.

  • What you will get
  • Exclusive staff discounts
  • Private healthcare
  • Birthday day off
  • Pension scheme
  • Unique bonus scheme
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Access to retail discounts
  • Staff socials and events
  • State of the art PW Campus
  • WFH on Fridays
  • Refreshments on-site
