As Protein Works continues to scale, we are expanding our Supply Chain team at our state-of-the-art Speke, Liverpool campus. We are seeking an experienced Logistics or Supply Chain professional from a Food or FMCG background who is motivated to grow, take ownership, and thrive in a fast-paced, high-performing environment. This role is critical to ensuring the smooth end-to-end movement of goods across our international supply chain, with a strong focus on products of animal origin (PoAO) and global trade compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-end management of exports of Products of Animal Origin (PoAO) from the UK to the EU
- Day-to-day account management of two 3PL partners, ensuring strong performance and collaboration
- Full account management of all freight forwarders, including performance tracking and escalation
- Provide, track, and challenge forecasts, ensuring adherence by forwarders
- Ownership of SLA performance across 3PLs and forwarders
- Ensure all import and export documentation and certifications are accurate, compliant, and available
- Day-to-day management of all courier relationships
- Drive continuous improvement across logistics, cost, service, and compliance
Non-Negotiable Experience
- Extensive experience exporting products of animal origin and composite products
- Extensive experience exporting to the EU and US
- Extensive experience importing from the EU and Asia
- Proven 3PL vendor management experience
- Strong understanding of international trade compliance and customs processes
Desirable Qualifications
- Degree educated, preferably in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related discipline
