This is a hands-on development role in a high-volume e-commerce environment.
You’ll design and build reliable, scalable integration solutions that keep orders flowing, inventory accurate and business systems in sync — particularly during peak trading periods.
- What You’ll Do
- Design and develop backend integrations between our e-commerce platform and enterprise systems including WMS, ERP and finance applications.
- Build scalable middleware for order management, inventory synchronisation and real-time data exchange between systems.

- Use observability tooling to monitor integration health, identify bottlenecks and maintain SLA compliance.
- Contribute to engineering standards through code reviews, pair programming and knowledge sharing.
- What We’re Looking For
- Required
- 5+ years of commercial backend development experience in a compiled or strongly-typed language.
- Proven experience integrating e-commerce platforms with WMS, ERP or finance systems.
- Strong SQL skills including query optimisation and schema design.
- Solid understanding of software architecture principles — clean architecture, domain-driven design, SOLID.
- Experience with modern development practices including test-driven development, CI/CD and version control with Git.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and container-based deployment.
- Familiarity with message queuing systems for event-driven architecture.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across engineering, operations and business teams.
- Nice to Have
- Experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes or container orchestration at scale.
- Knowledge of Graph QL for modern API development.
