The Role: International Trade Manager
Core Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the International commercial strategy, identifying new markets, customers, and regions to drive distribution, sales, and profit growth across trade and retail channels.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with international partners, acting as the primary commercial contact and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Identify and unlock new distribution opportunities, including entry into new countries, channels, and strategic partners.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Supply Chain, NPD, Marketing, Regulatory) to ensure seamless execution across all international markets.
- Manage forecasting and demand planning for international accounts, ensuring accurate volume projections and stock availability.
- Ensure compliance with all market-specific regulatory, labelling, and import/export requirements.
- Drive consistency of brand positioning and customer experience across all international channels.
Core Competencies
- Minimum 3 years experience in international sales, business development, or account management.
- Track record of budget ownership and delivering against revenue and profit targets.
- Strong understanding of international trade compliance, export regulations, and customs processes.
- Experience leading Joint Business Planning with retail or distribution partners.
- Excellent communicator with the ability to influence and negotiate at senior level.
- Driven self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
