Head of Growth at Protein Works drives consistent & compelling revenue growth in DTC markets. They manage the key commercial building blocks of Order Volume, AOV, Gross Margin, LTV:CAC, NNPOFO and new customer acquisition. The Growth Manager has end-to-end involvement in how we hit our revenue targets and therefore responsibility for delivering sustainable revenue growth.
Growth Managers sit within a Squad and work in tandem with the Growth Hacker/Squad Leader and the rest of the Squad members. Whilst Growth Managers must specialize in trading and commercial management, executing business strategies on the ground, they must also develop a 360 degree Sales and Marketing knowledge set and skill set over time - meaning a high level of proficiency in digital marketing channels is a must to drive Squad performance and 360 decision making and sustainable growth.
This role requires high collaboration across your Squad, other Sales & Marketing Squads and the wider business - specifically Supply Chain. You will be known for your growth mindset and your ability to visibly impact in-day performance and long-term strategic execution of commercial, digital marketing and brand strategies.
Core Responsibilities- Deliver consistent, sustainable and compelling revenue growth.
- Manage Gross Margin to target through promotional management and product mix.
- Create and maintain a compelling, robust and detailed promotional calendar that performs.
- Output key elements of the promotional calendar, essential for commercial services to execute.
- Deliver SMS and Email marketing activities in line with budgets and ROI.
- Manage all onsite trading & commercial levers to drive CVR, AOV and GP (WWW/YPO/Search).
- Deliver adherence to strategic Category and Product Portfolio whilst driving growth.
- Ensure the dynamic of product mix, unit sales and ASP delivers sustained growth in AOV.
- Deliver new customer numbers to target month in month out.
- Optimize LTV potential through managing the quality of acquisition and promotions.
- Optimize NNPOFO through pricing & promotion execution and strategic thinking.
- Monitor Site CVR and Product CVR working with the Squad to understand short-term optimizations.
- Support digital marketing experts with compelling promotional tactics to drive optimal LTV:CAC.
- Own the Affiliate Marketing channel, delivering consistent and sustainable YoY growth.
- Support the Paid Media channels, by positively challenging performance & highlighting opportunities.
- Support the Influencer channel by positively challenging performance & highlighting opportunities.
- Support Organic Social channels by positively challenging performance & highlighting opportunities.
- Surface learnings and insights and work with your peers to turn them into actions.
- Deliver customer-focused thinking and ‘right-first-time’ executions that enhance brand reputation.
- Adhere to and elevate Brand guidelines and values ensuring Brand standards are exceptional.
- Own sales run rates ensuring optimal stock management and sales to stock holding.
- Consistently identify opportunities for growth, raise these and drive green lit ones home.
- Support in the delivery of A:R, CPA and spend mix to targets.
- Be a key help and mentor to the Junior Commercial Executive to ensure leadership development.

- Master the commercial and performance aspects of Affiliate Marketing to deliver a channel growth.
- Master an understanding of Paid Media strategies and execution so you’re able to input to performance.
- Master the basics of Paid Media so you’re able to offer short term cover on bid management.
- Master our brand guidelines and values ensuring on point execution and custodianship.
- Master the art of delivering insights at pace teamed with succinct actions for discussion/deployment.
