Our purpose is to provide evidence-based compliance support through a trusted, asset-driven platform. Our ambition is to become the recognised market leader in healthcare compliance.
The Opportunity
We are looking to appoint a Business Development Manager to support the next phase of our growth. This is a senior, commercially focused role responsible for developing new business opportunities across NHS Trusts, private healthcare providers, and mental healthcare organisations. You will play a key role in expanding our client base, building long-term relationships with senior stakeholders, and contributing to the overall growth strategy of the business. This role is suited to someone who is comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy and accountability, and who is motivated by delivering tangible commercial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across NHS Trusts and private healthcare organisations
- Build and maintain relationships with senior decision-makers, including Directors, Heads of Estates, and Procurement leads
- Proactively engage prospects using a structured approach, supported by an established and well-developed CRM database (HubSpot)
- Manage the full sales cycle from initial engagement through to contract award
- Develop and maintain a strong, qualified pipeline to support accurate forecasting and long-term growth
- Contribute to the commercial strategy and positioning of Protects Plus within the healthcare sector
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure a seamless transition from sale to delivery
What We Are Looking For
- Proven experience in business development within healthcare or mental healthcare environments
- Strong track record of selling services into NHS Trusts and/or private healthcare organisations
- Experience engaging and influencing senior stakeholders at Director level and above
- Strong understanding of NHS structures, procurement processes, and frameworks
- Commercially driven, with a focus on revenue growth, pipeline development, and long-term value creation
- Self-sufficient and proactive, with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, growing business
- Experience using CRM systems (preferably HubSpot) to manage pipeline and activity
The Role
This is an opportunity to join a fast-growing organisation with clear ambitions to scale significantly over the coming years. You will be given the autonomy to shape your approach, supported by an established platform, strong market positioning, and a clearly defined target market. We are looking for someone who can contribute not only to revenue growth, but also to the long-term development and enterprise value of the business. Depending on the successful candidate, there is flexibility to define a geographical region or territory focus. This can be aligned to existing relationships, experience within specific NHS Trusts, or strategic growth areas for the business. If you are interested in the journey above, we'd love to hear from you.
