Job Description: Analyst II – Investment Accounting We are seeking an Analyst II to join our Investment Accounting team. This role is responsible for performing investment accounting functions for the company\’s $80 billion investment portfolio. The candidate will work closely with various internal and external teams, including accounting, investment management, and asset/liability management, and will be part of a team of accounting professionals. Responsibilities: Ensure data integrity of inputs into PAM (Protective\’s investment accounting system). Execute month-end close processes, including data validation, variance analysis, and subledger balancing. Perform investment accounting functions and reporting, adapting to changing requirements. Develop expertise in investment accounting and its organizational impact, serving as a subject-matter expert. Collaborate with the policy team to implement new accounting standards and ensure compliance. Resolve issues related to data and accounting processes through problem-solving. Manage investment-related data for reporting on transactions, positions, and performance. Assist in onboarding new assets and integrating them into systems. Perform PAM Administrator functions, including system testing and projects. Participate in investment accounting projects and create process documentation. Handle ad hoc requests and cross-train to ensure team flexibility. Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Accounting from an accredited university (required). At least 2 years of accounting experience. CPA designation is a plus. Strong analytical skills, high accuracy, and attention to detail. Exposure to GAAP and statutory accounting is advantageous. Experience with investments and proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Understanding of systems and processes, with PAM experience being a plus. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple projects efficiently. Additional Information: Salary range: $62,000 to $91,000, with additional incentive opportunities based on performance.
