Are you an experienced Customer Service professional looking for something more meaningful than just answering calls? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where your expertise genuinely shapes customer outcomes? If that sounds like you, this could be your next move.
We’re looking for a Product & Provider Specialist to join us at Protect Line – a role where your knowledge, curiosity and attention to detail will directly help protect what matters most to our customers.
About the Role
As a Product & Provider Specialist, you’ll be the go-to expert for our Sales Executives. You will:
- Answer our internal support helpline, providing clear, confident guidance on insurer options.
- Support cases where customers have a wide range of medical backgrounds, helping to ensure accurate pricing and appropriate risk assessment.
- Help shape decisions so that we consistently deliver good customer outcomes.
This is a busy, varied role. Alongside supporting our Sales Teams, you will:
- Conduct research into products, providers and underwriting approaches.
- Liaise directly with insurers.
- Review policies and policy wording.
- Keep our internal underwriting knowledge up to date and share insights across the team.
You’ll enjoy this role if you like being in the thick of it – juggling multiple priorities, solving problems, and finding the best possible options for customers. There are also opportunities to broaden your impact across our Customer Experience function as you grow with us.
What We’re Looking For
You don’t need to be an underwriting expert on day one – we’ll support you to build that. But you will need:
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical, organised approach to work.
- The ability to handle sensitive customer and business information with discretion and care.
- Confidence managing multiple tasks and priorities at once.
- Previous experience in life insurance, financial services or another regulated industry is desirable, but not essential – the right mindset and willingness to learn are what really matter.
Investing in Our People to Protect Yours - At Protect Line, we believe that investing in every employee provides a platform for opportunity and growth. Helping people become the best version of themselves is key to delivering an exceptional service that stands out for its authentic care and trust. We view protection as a promise for the future, focusing on keeping our promises, so you can keep yours. Our Values: Care, Collaborate, Dare, and Deliver aren’t just words on a wall—they guide our actions, define how we interact with each other, and shape the way we serve our customers.
What You’ll Get in Return
We know you’re choosing us as much as we’re choosing you. In return, you’ll receive:
- Enhanced Family Leave - Generous maternity, paternity, adoption and surrogacy packages to support you through life’s big milestones.
- Flexible Time Off - Holiday entitlement that increases with length of service, plus the option to buy extra days or sell unused days for extra pay. You’ll also have paid time off for appointments, emergencies and life’s unexpected moments.
- Celebrate Life - Extra paid days off for your birthday, your wedding day, buying a new home and your child’s first birthday.
- Professional Benefits Scheme - Tailored rewards for technical and professional support staff, including a training allowance.
- Temporary Remote Working - Opportunities to work from different locations – including abroad – on a temporary basis.
- Paid Charity Day - One paid day off a year to volunteer for a cause close to your heart through our Day to Make a Difference scheme.
- Epic Company Events - Our Summer and Christmas parties are well known – you’ll want to be there.
- Sabbatical Opportunities - After 15 years’ service, enjoy 4 weeks of paid leave to travel, recharge or focus on something you love.
- Refer & Earn - Recommend a friend and receive £1,500 for each successful hire.
- Everyday Perks - Eye care vouchers, retailer discounts and a range of other perks.
- Future Security - Access to our pension scheme, death-in-service benefits and more.
So come and join our extraordinary team of customer champions who are all about doing the right thing in every way imaginable. We don't settle for ordinary, we strive for extraordinary!
