We are currently looking for a GeoMoS Monitoring Specialist to join our team for heavy civil infrastructure projects in the UK.

Estimated Project Length:
18 months. In general, when the project ends, we try to place the employee in other projects to give him/her continuity.
Summary:
The GeoMoS Monitoring Specialist will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery and ongoing reliability of automated geodetic monitoring systems used on civil engineering projects, with particular emphasis on rail, metro and tunnel environments.
The role combines advanced Leica GeoMoS software capability with practical surveying, field installation, commissioning, fault‑finding and maintenance expertise. This is a hands‑on specialist position rather than a purely desk‑based software role.
- Review monitoring specifications, drawings, risk registers and Trigger Action Plans.
- Support the design and planning of monitoring networks, including instrument locations, control and reference points, prism layouts, power and communications.
- Install, set up, level, orientate and configure robotic total stations.
- Install and verify prisms, control points, monitoring targets, mounts, enclosures, cabling and associated field equipment.
- Perform control surveys, baseline observations, network verification and commissioning tests.
- Configure and administer Leica GeoMoS Monitor, including projects, sensors, measurement cycles, calculations, databases and automated workflows.
- Configure validation rules, processing routines, limits, alarms and notifications.
- Review monitoring data for completeness, precision, stability and plausibility.
- Investigate outliers, measurement errors, unstable reference points and system faults.
- Support the interpretation of convergence, displacement, settlement and structural movement.
- Perform planned and reactive maintenance of monitoring equipment and systems.
- Diagnose faults across instruments, communications, power systems, computers, databases and GeoMoS configuration.
- Coordinate with project teams, contractors, designers, surveyors, geotechnical engineers and other stakeholders.
- Provide technical support and practical training to project personnel.
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.
- Availability to travel to different projects across England is required.
- Overnight stays may occasionally be required depending on project needs.
