Job Title: SMT Team Leader Location: Bedfordshire Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 per annum DOE Role Overview We are looking for a hands-on and experienced SMT Team Leader to take day-to-day responsibility for the Surface Mount Department. This is a key role within the production team, where you\’ll oversee machine setup, ensure production targets are met, and maintain high quality standards throughout the SMT process. In this position, you\’ll also liaise with management, contribute to daily planning, and provide guidance and training to junior team members. SMT Team Leader Main Responsibilities Oversee daily operations of the SMT department, ensuring work is completed efficiently and on time Attend production meetings to report on progress and help plan future workload Set up and run SMT machinery including solder paste printers, pick and place machines, and reflow ovens Carry out visual inspection of assemblies and correct any issues as they arise Operate computer-controlled SMT equipment to assemble printed circuit boardsSMT Team Leader Skills & Experience Previous experience working with SMT machinery in a manufacturing environment Confident setting up and operating a range of SMT equipment Solid understanding of quality control and production processes Comfortable reporting to management and working to daily targets Supervisory or training experience in a production settingSMT Team Leader Benefits Competitive salary DOE Lots of progression – looking for someone to be an integral part of the team.
