Job Role: CNC Machinist
Location: Slough
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 3 months initially β potential to join permanently
Pay: Β£20ph PAYE
Role Overview
The position involves producing precision components using a range of automated and manual machining equipment. You will follow technical specifications and engineering documentation to deliver high-quality parts for internal assembly teams or external clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and run various CNC and conventional equipment-including turning, milling, multi-axis, and grinding machinery-to manufacture parts accurately and efficiently.
- Load and prepare raw materials, ensuring all tools, fixtures, and programs are correctly configured before machining.
- Inspect completed components to confirm conformity with technical standards and dimensional requirements before progressing to the next stage of production.
- Carry out measurement and validation using precision tools and coordinate measuring equipment (CMM).
Requirements
- Handsβon experience with CNC or manual machining processes such as milling, turning, or grinding.
- Ability to understand and work from engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Eagerness to learn, collaborate, and expand technical skills in a production environment.
- Engineering training, an apprenticeship, or proven machining experience is highly beneficial.
