We are interested in speaking with Electrical & Mechanical Fitters who have a background working on special purpose production machinery for various sectors including Manufacturing and Pharma industries. You will be based at our clients state of the art manufacturing facilities in North Hertfordshire and will have experience wiring special purpose production machinery.

Electrical & Mechanical Fitters Requirements:

  • A prior background within Engineering and a production environment as a Machine Wirer or Control Panel Wiring
  • An Engineering education - ideally an apprenticeship and industry experience but other relevant qualifications would be accepted
  • Previous experience of wiring control panels into various pieces of machinery
  • Previous experience of complete machine wiring
  • A good understanding of engineering drawings and diagrams
  • Basic Panel Wiring understanding - fitting of Din-rails, wiring motors, inverters, controls etc
  • Basic crimping / looming and wiring skills

Electrical & Mechanical Fitters Responsibilities:

  • Crimping, looming and terminating of cables and wires
  • Complete machine wiring from scratch
  • Working from a range of engineering drawings
  • Making bespoke alterations where required
  • Wiring of controls panels into pieces of machinery
  • Basic Panel Wiring - assembly and wiring of the panel from scratch
  • Assisting other Machine Wirers where needed
  • Reporting faults and mistakes where appropriate with Engineering drawings - helping to improve the Machine Wiring process
