If you are a Prototype Wirer Assembler looking to work in a high-tech and advanced technology business, this could be the role for you.

The experienced Prototype Wirer Assembler will be assembling state of the art, complex, high value units and therefore expected to work to the highest standards. As a Prototype Wirer Assembler, you will be working on building, wiring & assembling new prototype units.

You will also be working on specialist electrical switching and control systems, which cover many industries such as Aerospace and Defence.

This is a busy time for our client, so they are looking for somebody to start immediately.

Prototype Wire Assembler Requirements:
  • Previous industry experience in Prototype Wiring is essential
  • To build wiring looms, cable assemblies and connectors from design drawings and kits to the agreed build standards and timeframes
  • Experience of making cables, point-to-point wiring
  • Wire cabinets and fixtures from drawings to the agreed build standards and timeframes.
  • Capable of using hand tools efficiently and adhering to health and safety protocols
Prototype Wire Assembler Responsibilities:
  • Prototype Wiring and assembly of components for control cabinets and panels
  • Understand engineering drawings, wiring schedules, and circuit diagrams.
  • Able to solder to a consistently high standard.
  • Comfortable with crimping, splicing, soldering and lacing to aerospace and defence standards.
  • Familiar with military specification and other types of connectors and cable production techniques.
  • Able to work to IPC 620 Class 3.
  • Have ESD awareness.
  • Have relevant Industrial experience, ideally within the Defence or Aerospace sectors.
