We are seeking an organised and proactive Production Planning & Continuous Improvement (CI) Lead to join our clients manufacturing team. You will be responsible for coordinating production schedules, improving operational flow, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, throughput, and on-time delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain daily and weekly production plans
- Coordinate workflow across SMT, Assembly and Test departments
- Balance workloads against capacity, priorities and delivery requirements
- Monitor production performance, WIP and schedule adherence
- Identify bottlenecks, delays and delivery risks
- Track and report key production KPIs
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve productivity
- Support process standardisation and operational controls
- Work closely with Production, Quality, Engineering and Test teams to improve workflow
- Support recovery planning when production issues arise
- Improve visibility, accountability and communication across departments
- Maintain a structured and controlled approach to production planning
Skills & Experience:
- Experience in production planning, manufacturing coordination or continuous improvement
- Strong organisational and workload planning skills
- Experience working within a manufacturing environment
- Ability to analyse data and use KPIs to support decision-making
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to identify inefficiencies and drive improvements
- Hands-on approach with strong shopfloor awareness
- Experience working cross-functionally with Production, Quality, Engineering and Operations teams
- Knowledge of high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environments would be advantageous
