Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Test Technician to join a well-known UK Aerospace Company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing various mechanical tests, including hydraulic and pneumatic, to ensure the quality and reliability of our products.
This position requires someone who has got Aviation / Aerospace experience, strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Conducting mechanical tests, including hydraulic and pneumatic tests, on various products and components
- Documenting test procedures, results, and any issues encountered during testing
- Identifying and troubleshooting mechanical issues and working with engineering teams to resolve them
- Maintaining and calibrating test equipment to ensure accurate and reliable test results
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that testing requirements are met and to address any product quality concerns
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Test Technician or similar role, with a focus on mechanical testing
- Must come from an Aerospace, Aviation or Aeronautical background
- Strong understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems and the ability to conduct related tests
- Familiarity with a variety of test equipment and tools, and the ability to troubleshoot and maintain them
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
Day-to-day
As a Mechanical Test Technician, your day-to-day tasks will include setting up and conducting various mechanical tests, documenting test procedures and results, collaborating with engineering teams to address any issues, and ensuring the accuracy and reliability of test equipment. You will also have the opportunity to work on a variety of products and components, contributing to the overall quality and reliability of our offerings.
