What You’ll Be Doing as a SMT Operator:
- Preparing, setting, and running surface mount equipment such as placement machines, reflow ovens, stencil printers, and inspection systems.
- Ensuring all materials and components are correctly loaded and verified before production begins.
- Monitoring production runs to maintain efficiency and minimise downtime.
- Carrying out manual assembly tasks including component placement and soldering.
- Inspecting finished assemblies, identifying defects, and completing rework where necessary.
- Taking responsibility for the quality of your own work through in-process checks.
- Assisting with additional assembly tasks, including wiring and cable work, when required.
What We’re Looking For as an SMT Operator:
- Hands-on experience working within an SMT/PCB manufacturing environment.
- Competence in soldering, including through-hole techniques.
