About the Role

We are looking for an experienced PCB Design Team Lead to manage an engineering team and deliver PCB designs from concept through to manufacturing handover. You will work across multiple projects, supporting internal engineering teams and external clients, ensuring designs meet technical, quality, and schedule requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate PCB design activities across multiple projects
  • Allocate work, track progress, and ensure delivery to deadlines
  • Provide technical support to customers and internal stakeholders
  • Review and approve PCB layouts and design packages
  • Work with external contractors when required
  • Ensure designs comply with manufacturing standards and design rules

Required Skills

  • Strong PCB layout experience (high pin-count devices, fine pitch components)
  • IPC CID or CID+ certification
  • Proficiency in one or more PCB CAD tools (Altium, OrCAD/Allegro, PADS)
  • Knowledge of PCB fabrication, assembly, and DFM/DFT principles
  • Degree in Electronics or equivalent
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Familiarity with industry standards (IPC/ECSS)
