We are seeking an organised and proactive Production Planner to join our client's manufacturing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with production planning experience who enjoys coordinating manufacturing schedules, managing priorities and ensuring customer orders are delivered on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain daily and weekly production plans
- Coordinate workflow across SMT, Assembly and Test departments
- Balance production workloads against capacity, priorities and customer delivery requirements
- Monitor production progress, work in progress (WIP) and schedule adherence
- Identify bottlenecks, delays and delivery risks, supporting recovery plans where required
- Liaise with Production, Quality, Engineering and Test teams to ensure efficient workflow
- Track and report production KPIs to support planning and performance
- Ensure materials and resources are aligned with production schedules
- Maintain accurate production planning data and schedules
- Support improvements to production planning processes and operational efficiency
- Maintain a structured and organised approach to production planning
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a Production Planner, Production Scheduler or similar planning role
- Experience working within a manufacturing environment
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Ability to prioritise workloads and adapt to changing production demands
- Experience analysing production data and using KPIs to support planning decisions
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Good problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach
- Experience working closely with Production, Quality, Engineering and Operations teams
- Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Excel would be advantageous
- Experience within a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment is desirable
