Overview
We’re looking for an experienced CNC Programmer & Setter to programme, set, and operate CNC lathes (sliding-head and fixed-head) to produce precision components to tight tolerances. You will manage setups independently, verify parts using precision measuring equipment, and support efficient machine performance—including unmanned running.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and adjust CNC programs at the control and via offline/CAM software.
- Set and operate sliding-head & fixed-head lathes (Star, Miyano, Citizen).
- Manufacture components to tight tolerances and conduct in-process inspection.
- Use verniers, micrometers, height gauges, and optical inspection tools.
Requirements
- 3+ years’ experience in CNC programming/setting.
- Ability to read and write Fanuc programs from scratch.
- Strong understanding of feeds, speeds, and cutting tools.
- Confident in interpreting engineering drawings.
- Engineering apprenticeship or HNC preferred.
