A well-established UK engineering manufacturer is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join its machining team. The business operates in a high-precision environment, producing complex engineered components for demanding applications.
The Role
- Offline CNC programming using CAD/CAM software (experience with AlphaCam or similar packages considered; training available)
- Producing efficient CNC milling programs for horizontal machining centres
- Working from detailed engineering drawings and 3D solid models
- Designing and specifying workholding solutions
- Selecting appropriate tooling, cutting speeds, and feeds
- Collaborating with engineering and shop floor teams to improve machining processes
About You
- Proven experience in CNC programming within a precision manufacturing environment
- Strong offline CAD/CAM programming capability
- Confident supporting CNC milling set-ups and machining operations
- Able to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T
- Experience with ERP systems is beneficial (training can be provided)
