We're recruiting for an experienced Panel Wirer to join a well-established industrial engineering and manufacturing company based in Berkhamsted. Due to continued growth and an increasing project pipeline, they are looking for a skilled Panel Wirer to support the production team on a rolling contract, with the potential to secure a permanent position.
Key Responsibilities as a Panel Wirer:
- Wiring and assembling electrical control panels to engineering specifications
- Crimping, terminating and routing cables to a high standard
- Reading and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and engineering drawings
- Mechanical assembly of control panels, enclosures and associated equipment
- Carrying out testing, inspection and fault finding where required
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship and ensuring compliance with relevant electrical standards
The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience as a Panel Wirer, Electrical Fitter or Control Panel Builder
- Confident reading and interpreting electrical schematics and technical drawings
- Strong understanding of electrical components, wiring methods and industrial control systems
- Competent in crimping, cable preparation and panel assembly
- Good mechanical assembly skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team to meet production deadlines
