Do you have Health & Safety experience? If so we’d love to hear from you. We are recruiting for a Health & Safety Manager to join our team. Having Rail & Civils experience would be advantageous but not essential as training will be provided.
You will be responsible for management of the Health, Safety & Environmental function at Protech providing competent support for the business and ensure implementation of management systems.

Typical Deliverables:
- Provide competent, professional health and safety leadership across projects.
- Support operational teams to plan and deliver work safely and in compliance with requirements.
- Maintain a visible site presence when required, promoting positive safety behaviours.
- Support the implementation and ongoing development of the Safety Management System in line with ROGS.
- Ensure compliance with CDM 2015, rail standards, and Network Rail ways of working.
- Support the development and assurance of safe systems of work, including:
- Work Package Plans and task briefings
- Risk Assessments and Method Statements
- COSHH assessments
Experience Required:
Essential:
- NEBOSH Certificate or NVQ Level 4/5 in Occupational Health & Safety (or equivalent).
- GradIOSH or CMIOSH (or working towards).
- Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. IOSH / IEMA) or commitment to achieve this.
- Competent in incident and accident investigation.
- Good communication skills with the ability to engage at all levels.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Hold PTS or willingness to obtain this.
Desirable:
- Experience within the UK rail or other high-risk infrastructure environment.
- Understanding of ROGS and CDM 2015.
- Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and RISQS.
