Legionella Risk Assessor in Glasgow

The Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Legionella Risk Assessor to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out Legionella Risk Assessments to the highest industry standards, ensuring all work is completed within agreed timescales while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

This is a customer-facing role requiring strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to identifying risks and recommending appropriate solutions. You will play a key role in supporting our clients' compliance obligations and maintaining the high standards of service that Protech Group is known for.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out Legionella Risk Assessments across a variety of customer sites in accordance with industry legislation, guidance, and best practice.
• Ensure all work is completed safely, professionally, and in line with company Health & Safety procedures.
• Support customers in achieving compliance with relevant standards and guidance, including:
• ACOP L8
• HSG274 Parts 1, 2 & 3
• BS 8554 Sampling & Monitoring of Hot and Cold-Water Systems
• Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations
• Identify, diagnose, and investigate faults within water and plumbing systems, providing clear recommendations for remedial actions and maintenance where required.
• Produce accurate schematic drawings and diagrams of site water systems.
• Complete and submit detailed, accurate reports and supporting documentation within agreed deadlines.
• Work closely with the Helpdesk and Operations teams to ensure workloads are effectively managed and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are achieved.
• Read, understand, and work in accordance with site-specific Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
• Maintain professional relationships with customers, ensuring they are treated with respect and that all work is undertaken efficiently and with minimal disruption.
• Demonstrate reliability, flexibility, and a collaborative approach to support colleagues and business objectives.

Skills & Experience

• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience carrying out Legionella Risk Assessments in a site-based environment.
• Legionella Risk Assessment qualification (City & Guilds or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of current water hygiene regulations, standards, and compliance requirements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
• Water Regulations Certification.
• Plumbing Level 2 or Level 3 Qualification.
• Experience working across commercial, industrial, and public sector environments.
• Strong problem-solving and fault-finding abilities relating to water systems.
