Main Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of warehouse and logistics operations during assigned shift
- Conduct shift briefings, task assignments and performance checks
- Champion and enforce health & safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment
- Promote and support the wellbeing of all colleagues on shift
- Coordinate with planning, inventory, and technical teams to resolve any operational issues
- Ensure high levels of accuracy are achieved
- Delivery of Key Performance Indicators (KPI's)
- Responsible for ensuring the operation consistently meets the requirements of the customer
- Delivery of a safe, secure, clean and fair work environment for team members
- Ensure good employee relations are maintained and that strong working relationships are developed
- Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)
- Compliance to audits
- Develop new initiatives to improve operational efficiencies
- Facilities Management by minimizing damage through effective operating processes
- Ensure a culture of trust based on open communication and cooperation is encouraged and reinforced
- Manage team to deliver daily targets productively and in line with performance KPIs
- Effective communication through accurate handovers, e-mail, daily briefs and weekly meetings
- Develop and maintain a motivated team

- Providing reports on productivity and other performance indicators to management
- Building and maintaining excellent working relationships with all section managers, ensuring the provision of a positive and professional service
- Driving success by proactively managing team performance, providing development and succession planning opportunities
- Ensuring the effective development, implementation and evaluation of policies and procedures, ensuring they are compliant and consistently applied
- Proactively taking steps to ensure own skills and knowledge continue to improve in all aspects including technical and leadership
